Yellow Springs Toy Company

Mission

HISTORY

252 Xenia Ave.

This address has been home to two amazing toy stores for more than 40 years.

Mr. Fub's Party lived here for more than 38 years and was a favorite destination for many generations of families. In October of 2017 Mr. Fub's closed its doors for the last time, and its owner, Priscilla Moore, retired from the toy business—to the sadness and disappointment of the generations of families who have loved the store.

It Takes A Village to Raise a toy Store

In response to the void created by Mr. Fubs closing, Jamie Sharp (who has a background in arts education, graphic design, and marketing) decided to enter the toy business in the same location.

Getting the new business up and running on a shoestring was a daunting task. In addition to all of the research, infrastructure, and new vendor relationships that needed to be developed; the building needed a ton of work.

Community—its a beautiful thing! The entire village of Yellow Springs rallied to get the new store open. By the time the store opened, community members had volunteered more than 1600 hours of their valuable time, and Yellow Springs retailers and business leaders mentored and shared information with surprising transparency and generosity.

A NEIGHBORHOOD TOY STORE

In March of 2018, the new toy store opened in this beloved spot—Yellow Springs Toy Company.

We hope to be here for many years!

We are honored and excited to be in a position to get to know each of you as you walk through our doors. It is heartwarming to know that we will, quite literally, have a happy part to play in your life and your celebrations.
