When considering which requests we can support:
We get frequent requests, unfortunately we cannot support everyone who asks—no matter how good the cause. We have to carefully consider where our support is a good fit for our business and where we can be impactful in our local community.
- We look toward partnerships that reflect our values: Art, Music, Education, Family, Community, or Social Justice.
- We keep it local:We are a small neighborhood brick and mortar shop. We support groups & organizations who support us and with whom we can build ongoing relationships and feel the impact of our participation at a local level. (We do not have the resources to support fundraisers for individuals at this time).
- We examine any positive/negative exposure that our participation will bring our business: Tell us about the organization or group you are representing. What other businesses/organizations are participating? How will our donation/support be recognized? (No political or religious causes)
- We look for causes that are in alignment with our customer base:Who is your audience? How many potential attendees/participants do you expect? How/where will this be publicized?
- We assess the cost against our existing resources and obligations. What would our participation look like? … gift card? donated item? advertisement? sponsorship? physical participation? When do you need a firm commitment?
HELP US PLAN FOR NEXT YEAR: We try to budget for contributions each year. If this is something that happens annually, please let us know when the event typically takes place, and when you need to know about participation and we will add it to our calendar and budget considerations.
